We're Ryan, Dan, and Ant, three 20 something lads, from Birkenhead, who love football. 24% of women and 13% of men in England are diagnosed with depression in their lifetime. But men are three times more likely to die from suicide than women. We wanted to know why. Join us every Monday and Friday as we speak to people from the wide world of football, all about Mental Health, in an attempt to learn more about it, and encourage men to feel more comfortable talking about their health and wellbeing, and attempt to remove the stigma that still surrounds the topic.

Episode 11:
Growing up at United, playing through pain, and the transition to a 9-5.
Daniel Nardiello moved to Manchester United as a trainee in 1999, in the wake of the treble. Dan spent the next few years training and learning alongside Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Neville, Keane, before making his professional debut in November 2001 away to Arsenal.
Dan would go on to play for Barnsley, Rotherham United, QPR, Bury, and a host of other clubs, eventually making over 300 professional appearances and scoring over 100 goals.
It wasn't a career without its difficulties though, a litany of injuries including a broken back, caused frustration for Dan throughout his career.
Nowadays, Dan works as a financial advisor, in part, inspired to do so following a scam he fell foul of during his career. His transition to working and living the civilian life has been hard to adjust to, but he finds real value in the work he now does.
